Fudgie Flowerumi Bear

Some of you have privately emailed me asking me to share with you the patterns of my Flowerumi. Since the bears were going to a good cause, for some time, I considered that I could not share the patterns. But now that the last of my bears are going to a favorite children's charity, I feel at liberty to share some patterns from time to time of new designs that I make, so that you too, can make cute Flowerumi Bears.

Fudgie is my first pattern for this purpose. She was designed in the warm and comforting tones of a classic teddy bear. Her chocolately colors and cute flowery "hairdo", which originated the name Flowerumi, give her a warm, cuddly, fun, and just lovable appearance.
She takes some of the cocoa coloring of traditional teddy bears, mixed with the charm of the Amigurumi and the fun and ingenuity of the funmigurumi that are my trademark, adding colorful blossoms to her mane and just wins you over!
Her patchwork style is charming and not common and trite. This pattern for a cute little Flowerumi bear can get you started in the technique of patchwork bear-making!

Here's a different shawl for you! It has some of the retro look and some of the sleek modern wrap style combined. Diamond motifs made with the classic granny stitch and surrounded by flowers and triangles form the striking back of this quick to make, buttoned-up, narrow shawl.

This beautiful shawlette is a my take on a granny stitch shawl with a few modern twists, but leaving enough vintage flavor in it to make it a bit nostalgic.
►Crochet Skill: Intermediate Sizes: Small/Medium (but an expert crocheter can easily expand it to a size Large.)  These increases are not recommended for inexperienced crocheters to avoid confusion and disappointment.

Craftybegonia Doll Dolly: Abby

I have always loved handmade dolls! When I was a kid I would rather have a Raggedy Ann than the cutest hard plastic doll around. I enjoyed making Abby. She has huge blue eyes, thick, multi-hued blond hair (so that it would look sun-kissed), tied into pretty fishtail braids, rosy cheeks, and a soft smile.

Her dress is permanently attached, but she also wears a cute, removable circular vest that gives the impression that she is also a dressable doll, which adds to the fun of playing with her.

She looks good but is not difficult to make. Actually, she looks more difficult than she is! Abby is a lovely doll, but the most important thing about her is that she can become a beloved friend to a special child and provide wonderful, cherished childhood memories. She can even become a family heirloom growing up with a little girl as a treasured companion and then being passed out to her daughter. She can also bring joy to a grown-up doll collector!

I love old fashioned bears and this one was inspired by traditional bears but with the fun and imaginative creativity that has come to be known as the characteristic of Craftybegonia patterns. Hoofer Moolove

This is the only boy in all of the Moolove clan. I had a relative that had a bunch of girls and only one boy, so I know how it is. . .Hoofer is quite a character himself! It took me a while to be able to get the idea for his face, but once I got it, it all just fell into place. He has the colorful quality and the funny expression of all my Funmigurumi characters and is quite a bit of fun.

One of the wonderful things about this toy is that it can be made with scraps and it can also be made in a series, if you are interested in making more than one for gifts or for charity, for example.
